Faces of Pride
Faces of Pride Returns with Fresh Vision at Key City Theatre
Key City Theatre is proud to present the third annual Faces of Pride exhibition, opening Thursday, June 5, to kick off Cranbrook’s Pride celebrations. This year’s show introduces a new creative direction, featuring the artistic talents of Stephanie Moore and Morgan Turner.
Building on the success of previous years, the 2025 exhibition expands its focus to include not only 2SLGBTQIA+ community members but also allies—highlighting the shared spirit of inclusion, visibility, and solidarity. Through a powerful series of 21 portraits, Moore and Turner capture the individuality and humanity of 21 unique people whose stories reflect the diverse heart of Pride in Cranbrook.
“This project has always been about visibility, belonging, and joy,” says Galen Olstead, Executive Director of Key City Theatre. “With Stephanie and Morgan at the helm, we’re seeing a beautiful expansion of what that joy can look like. It’s moving, it’s personal, and it’s filled with heart.”
The opening reception begins at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 5, and promises an evening of connection and celebration, with music, whimsical décor, and a selection of appetizers and desserts. Guests will have a chance to meet the artists and portrait participants and share in the energy of the weekend’s launch.
Following the opening, the Faces of Pride portraits will remain on display at Key City Theatre throughout June. In July and August, the exhibition will continue through the community as part of the Faces of Pride Art Walk, with portraits featured at various local venues.
About the Photographers:
Morgan Turner
Morgan Turner is a full-time Commercial Photographer, with a working studio space downtown Cranbrook BC. Originally from Vancouver Island, he moved to Cranbrook in mid-2017 and has been developing his love for the Kootenays since.
Morgan first got his hands on a simple camera as a child, eventually taking film photography classes in highschool and then proceeding to enrol in a video production program in Vancouver during 2003-04. In 2005, he made the switch from film to digital and bought his first Nikon DSLR - having sold his video equipment to fund the upgrade. Since then, he has spent countless hours learning, experimenting and shooting hundreds of thousands of images – likely close to, or potentially more than one million images over the past 20 years. His technical skill, creativity, relentless determination, and a desire to continue to produce engaging images, has developed in to meaningful career – allowing him to step away from his work as a Journeyman Carpenter.
Morgan’s favourite subject matter to photograph is people on bikes – road, mountain, recreational & competitive - closely followed by architecture, soulful portraits, and the world around him.

Stephanie Moore
Stephanie is a portrait photographer, with a deep appreciation for the gorgeous area that we get to inhabit. She has been photographing people and places for the last 20 years- with her photojournalism background, Stephanie’s favourite element of photography is getting to know the story behind the people she gets to work with. The authentic connections and experiences that happen during a portrait session are what drive Stephanie to continue creating, and inspire her every day.
When she’s not behind the camera, you can find Stephanie hanging out with her two children, getting involved in community theatre, or on outdoor adventures, camera in hand, in the wild landscape of the Kootenays with her partner and their dogs.
You can find her across social media platforms @stephaniemoorephoto, or at www.stephaniemoorephoto.com
