Ballet Jorgen: Swan Lake

Presented by Key City Theatre

One of the world’s most beloved ballets is reimagined with a distinctly Canadian setting, breathtaking choreography and Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable music.

Experience the haunting beauty and timeless romance of Swan Lake.

Ballet Jörgen reimagines this classical masterpiece against the dramatic seascape of Nova Scotia’s historic Fortress of Louisbourg. With evocative sets, period-inspired costumes and Bengt Jörgen’s graceful choreography, this distinctly Canadian production brings fresh life to one of ballet’s most enduring stories.

Under the spell of a powerful sorcerer, Princess Odette is condemned to live as a swan by day and regain her human form only at night. When she encounters Prince Siegfried, the two fall in love—but deception, betrayal and dark magic threaten to keep them apart.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s soaring score and performed by the exceptional dancers of Ballet Jörgen, Swan Lake is a moving tale of love, transformation and the struggle between good and evil.

Whether you are discovering ballet for the first time or returning to a cherished classic, this beautiful production offers an unforgettable theatrical experience.
