Key City Theatre acknowledges the long history of harm and violence brought to Indigenous communities through centuries of European colonization.
We honour the survivors of the residential school system, their families, and their communities. While past harms can never be undone, it is critical that the harm caused by past and ongoing colonial actions is fully acknowledged, challenged, and ended.

Key City Theatre is committed to supporting public discourse and education that acknowledges the truth. We are committed to offering an open space, along with our efforts and energies, as a place for gathering, healing, and reclamation.
We recognize that this dialogue is not confined to one day. It requires ongoing reflection and change in how we approach each day.

On Whose Lands We Work
Key City Theatre is grateful to live and carry out our work on the traditional and ancestral lands of the Ktunaxa Peoples. We strive to celebrate the history, traditions, and language of the Ktunaxa Peoples, as well as the Métis and many diverse Indigenous Peoples who live on these lands.
